We are truly fortunate to be in the association of such dedicated Sri Krishna Balaram Temple devotees who sincerely follow Srila Prabhupada’s principles. The temple offers well-organized programs like interactive Bhagavad Gita sessions filled with deep insights and ecstatic kirtans. The morning chanting call during Brahma Muhurta is the perfect way to start the day. It brings inner strength and a deep sense of blessing. When I miss it, I feel something truly valuable is lost. I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity. Festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm, powerful abhishekams, and uplifting mantras. It’s inspiring to see young children reciting Bhagavad Gita Sanskrit shlokas and embracing spirituality from a young age.

The Saturday Brahma Muhurat mangala aarti is especially blissful. Kids participate in the event at 5 AM, creating a truly divine atmosphere. Being part of this Sri Krishna Balaram Bay Area community makes me feel deeply connected to my roots and spiritually enriched.

I have been attending daily spiritual reading sessions organized by devotees of this temple for over a year now, and they’ve truly been a transformative part of my spiritual journey.

The devotee incharge explains even the most profound spiritual concepts in such a simple and relatable way, making it easier for me to absorb and reflect on them.

These reading calls have not only deepened my understanding of our scriptures but have also given me the gift of genuine devotee association, which has greatly strengthened my faith and deepened my devotion to Lord Shri Krishna.

Krishna came into my life on a Janmashtami day ( visit to the temple) , from then my journey to Krishna consciousness started. The Mandir brought in immense peace and bliss which was the feeling whenever I visited. That feeling made me a regular visitor to the temple.

Next, I got engaged in the daily Bhagavatam & Bhagavad Gita reading calls to which I was introduced to by the awesome temple volunteers. The calls are not just inculcating spiritual lessons but they are teachings on how to handle real life with moral ethics and values.

The chanting zoom call in the morning motivates me to chant the “Hare Krishna Maha mantra” which is the only slogan of cure for all my life situations. The most attractive part of the temple is Sri Krishna Balaram altar where they are so well dressed up. The book store is amazing too where I have purchased many spiritual books which is the real treasure & legacy I would like to handover to the next generations !!

Over the past year, participating in the reading calls organized by dedicated temple devotees has been a truly transformative experience. Devotees explain the timeless wisdom of our scriptures in such a clear, relatable, and practical manner.

These sessions became especially meaningful during one of the most difficult times in my life—when my mother departed from this material world. In that moment of deep loss, the knowledge I had received from Bhagavad Gita, along with the unwavering support of the devotee community, gave me the inner strength and clarity to face the situation with a spiritual perspective. The teachings I had studied were no longer just philosophical ideas—they became a real source of comfort, guidance, and peace.

I clearly remember one powerful realization from class: how the soul, at the time of death, expects prayers and remembrance rather than sorrowful crying. This understanding helped shift my mindset and brought a sense of sacredness to my mother’s departure. Instead of grief overwhelming me, I was guided by a sense of duty—to pray, to remember Krishna, chant the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and to support her soul’s onward journey.

The story of King Puranjana from the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam also gave me a vivid understanding of how the souls travels.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this spiritually enriching community and for the chance to grow under the compassionate and insightful guidance of temple devotees. These teachings didn’t just stay in books—they came alive in my life when I needed them most.
